HIN Access Services Migration Apr 7, 2026 08:08 - Apr 10, 2026 17:08 CEST

From 17 March on, HIN will start migrating the infrastructure for the HIN Access ACS service. The entry point of the HIN protected services (with names like e.g. "protected-service.hin.ch") will be moved to a new solution by changing the DNS entry. The migration will take place over several weeks. We will publish updates on this channel.
We expect this migration to have no impact on the availability of the service. Nevertheless, we would like to inform you about this planned activity in order to ensure transparency and planning security.

HIN Client Update Required Apr 7, 2026 08:08 - Apr 10, 2026 11:08 CEST

Older versions of the HIN Client (3.6.2 and earlier) are no longer supported and may no longer function correctly.
Please update your HIN Client to the latest version 3.6.4.

We recommend performing the update as soon as possible to avoid any service interruptions.

Investigating - We are currently experiencing issues with the display of PDF documents in the preview within HIN Sign.

The issue appears to affect scanned PDFs that use specific compressed image formats (JBIG2 / CCITT Fax) — common in scans from copiers and document management systems.

During the signing process, affected PDF files may appear unreadable or only partially rendered in the preview. The signing functionality itself remains fully operational. At this time, the issue is limited to the PDF preview during the signature workflow.

Our technology partner is already working to resolve the issue.

Update - Currently, there is a partial disruption affecting the following services:

- directory.hin.ch
- id-cockpit.hin.ch
- and other HIN Access / ACS (Access Control Service) websites.

As a temporary workaround, HIN users are advised to access ACS-protected websites using their browser’s Incognito / Private Mode.

The incident is currently being investigated and handled with high priority. Further updates will follow as soon as more information becomes available.
